The Dumping Ground

The Dumping Ground is a spin-off series to the popular CBBC show-Tracy Beaker Returns.

I watched the double episode on Friday and LOVED it. I was a huge fan of Tracy Beaker Returns series and was gutted when Dani Harmer left the show- not because I found her character particularly interesting (it was the young peoples background stories that I really enjoyed watching) because I was sure they wouldn't make another series without her. Naturally, when I heard about the Dumping Ground, I was ecstatic!!

Almost all the characters were present on Friday's episode (except form Sapphire and of course, Tracy) and was pleased to see that the series still had the same feel and that done of the characters had changed.

There was one new character, Faith. Not much was said about her background or how she came to the Dumping Ground but you could see that she is a kind and positive character.

My fave characters are Elektra and Johnny, I found their 'frenemie' relationship really cute in the final series of Tracy Beaker Returns and am I the only one who wants them to get together?? Elektra's style is so cool and I love her rebellious attitude!

Please, please give this show ago (I will put a link to watch it online  below) as I really, really don't want it to get cancelled!

Rant: Five Things That REALLY Annoy Me

Hey guys! Okay, I shouldn't really be making this post now because I've got tonnes of homework and revision to get on with but hey, I needed to get some things off my chest.
Don't think I'm a mega negative person for making this its just, I haven't had the best week and I'm sure many other people have theses issues (well some of them).
Oh, and by the way these are in no particular order.

1. When my computer freezes and I'm doing something important.

Something that happens A LOT with my computer.

2. When they don't clean the trays in the school lunch hall properly.

Okay just to be clear on that one I don't mean the trays you eat off of., the ones you put your plates on. But still- DISGUSTING! 

3. When people mark me as shy 

No, its not that I'm shy- YOU IRRITATE ME so I try to block you out (don't worry, this isn't with everyone)

4. When a movie/TV show is (UNNECESSARILY) rated 15 so your parents don't let you watch it

The government or whoever gives the official rating on movies (feel stupid that I don't know) needs to rethink what age group they are marking films as inappropriate for- I mean seriously, why can't a 10 year watch Harry Potter just because it's rated 12, a 13 year old a only mildly scary movie that's rated 15, a 17 year old a 18 rated movie?? It blows my mind.

5. When you text somebody and they reply two months later

Seriously , people NEED to check their phone more often!!

Hi!!

Hi guys!! My names Amira and this is my (hopefully, soon to be successful) blog! I'm feeling really icky today and have been in lazing around in my pjs all day so thought I would get out of my slump, get up and write this blog post! I will be telling you a bit about myself, talking about the future of my blog and ya know.... just chatting........

Well, as I just told you, my name is Amira and I am the laziest person you will ever meet, total chocoholic, wannabe make up guru on YouTube... When I'm older my ideal career choice will be a fiction writer and I LOVE X Factor and I'm A Celebrity! I have dark brown hair just above my shoulders which I am trying to grow out, brown eyes and I am around five foot six inches tall, give or take a few... I won't say my exact age (ya know protecting my identity and stuff) but although you are probably assuming I am like, middle aged right now, I am actully around the young teen/tweenage age group! Oh, and I live in England and can I just say, a massive fan of Harry Potter!

My blog will be targeted for girls around my age group and I will be posting reviews on books I am reading, films and TV shows, make up products I really love and ones I really hate......and sometimes just talking about stuff thats happening in my life and things that are going on in the world.
I'm  reading Breaking Dawn by Stephinie Meyer at the moment (love Twilight as well by the way but not loving this one as much as the first three) hopefully finishing it in time to go see the film in a couple weeks time. My crazy temparamental seven year old brother is throwing a major tantrum as writing this-everyday life in my household! Haha!
